Hi and welcome to our website! You’re probably on this page to read a little bit about who we are, so here goes!

We are a family of 5 from Colorado. We have three kids, Ben (9), Jacob (7) and Abby (5). We are your typical American family. We live in the burbs, and love it (most of the time). The kids all play piano or guitar, they have a few extra activities and go to a public elementary school. Matt works from home and is the president of the kids PTA, and Erin is a stay-at-home Mom as well as a yoga instructor in our neighborhood. We are extremely involved in our community.

We have been dreaming about taking off and stepping away from the rat race for close to 3 years now, and after a lot of debating, planning and saving we have finally been able to make this dream a reality.

Matt will continue to work from Costa Rica and we will also be home-schooling the kids so that they will be ready to move onto the next grade level when we return. The work/school thing has been a pre-trip stresser, but we think we’ve just about got it dialed in at this point so that it will be a part of life, but not the focus of life for the next 6 months. We all look forward to that.
