Feliz Navidad de la familia Sampson

Happy Holidays from the Sampson's!

We send our holiday greetings this year from the Luna Llena in Tamarindo, Costa Rica! We arrived on December 5th, and look forward to a sunny Christmas in the sand and surf this weekend. Our arrival here this month was the culmination of months of dreaming and planning. We will explore Costa Rica through the month of May while celebrating a change of pace and perspective with our adventurous kids, Ben (9), Jacob (7) and Abby (5).

A year ago we were enjoying a snowy Colorado Christmas, anticipating our first family ski season at Eldora. We ended the ski season with some long anticipated family ski days.

Matt launched his new business DigitalPTO.com in April and spent the Spring on the PTO/PTA trade show circuit, traveling to Texas, New York, California, Chicago and, of course, two shows in Colorado. The business is off to a great start and is a perfect addition to Matt’s company, Colorado Web Solutions.

Our summer was a blur of excitement with Ben’s unexpected success on our neighborhood swim team, both boys heading off to their first two week session at Geneva Glen Camp, and another amazing trip to the Lake of the Ozarks, MO to visit Matt’s parents, “YaYa and Grandpa Buzz.”

We welcomed another niece to the family, Isabella Grace Sampson, born to Adam and Karen and big brother Matti. We had the pleasure of visiting their beautiful new home in Sunny California this Fall.

I continued to teach yoga through the Fall and enjoyed taking classes from some of the best teachers in the country at the Yoga Journal Conference in Estes Park this Fall. I was joined by friends Kara and Brenda and mom, Sydney and step-dad Jeff. It was a life changing weekend and I look forward to teaching again when I return home.

Before heading off to Costa Rica we enjoyed loads of quality time with our amazing community of friends. Thanksgiving at my dad & Beth’s life long dream home in Sedalia, CO with all of my siblings was wonderful, as was our annual, (albeit early) Christmas Eve celebration with the Jiron’s.

Since our arrival, we have been attending daily surf lessons at the Costa Rica Surf Institute and bi-weekly Spanish classes at the Coastal Spanish Institute. Every moment is an adventure and every other moment is a rewarding challenge.

Before we return home for the summer, we will head to Europe to visit the Kahn’s in Spain and the Dupays in France.

Sending warm wishes your way this holiday season,

Erin, Matt, Ben, Jacob and Abby
